Michelle is a six-time Paralympic gold medalist in both basketball and track, nine-time World Champion, and the world record holder in the 100m, 200m, and 800m. Michelle served two terms as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for Parksville-Qualicum and served as Cabinet Minister for Social Development and Social Innovation.

Michelle is passionate about healthy, active living, and advocates for people with disabilities and children with special needs. She has been an ambassador, spokesperson, business owner, and BC and Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame inductee and is a proud brand ambassador of the ultralight Elevation wheelchair by PDG Mobility.
